30 Day Challenge Part Two

It's time for part two of Marzi's 30 Day Challenge!

16. Sporty may be gone but not today!

Last time we brought back the flirty style, now it's time for sporty to make a return. Sporty has never been my favorite style, but I still miss it. Anyway, my first thought for this one was to use the new ski-themed stuff from Basic U, but I didn't have a full matching set, so I turned back to the returning items. These dresses are fun and I've used this particular one before, but never with these socks, even though they seem made for each other, so I figured I'd do that now. Throw in some sneakers, a visor, and a sporty side ponytail, and the look is complete!

17. Jeans are the essential wardrobe item.

This one was actually hard, just because there are so many nice jeans to choose from in the game. I didn't know which pair to use, so I started just playing around with things, and eventually ended up with this. I'm quite happy with the results.

18. Dress like a character from a previous Style Boutique game.

So, originally I was going to dress up as Sophie, but since Marzi and Iriye both went with Sophie for this one, I figured I should go with someone else. I thought Lenore or Eliza would be fun, but I didn't have the Lenore's tights or Eliza's prince outfit (plus they took out Eliza's hairstyle), so I just ended up going with Callie, since I already had everything I needed for her outfit.

Now you know why I was dressed as Callie before.

19. Try to make overalls a trend.

So of course I had to use these adorable new ones from April Bonbon. I decided to use the pink ones and match them with some kitty ears, because you know I love those. I also got to use the tights from the stage costume I created for Rosie, which is cool. All in all, I think this look turned out pretty damn cute, though I'm kinda iffy on the shoes.

20. Wear an outfit from your least favorite style.

Now, I don't really dislike any of the styles, and I try to get plenty of use out of all of them, but if I had to name my least favorite styles, it'd be chic, psychedelic and boho-chic. With that in mind, I decided to go with a psychedelic/boho-chic combo. I left chic out since using all three seemed like a bit much. I think the outfit actually turned out quite well!

21. Halloween comes early! An outfit inspired by the supernatural and spooky.

My first thought for this was vampire, of course, but Marzi beat me to it again, so I decided to go with something else, haha. I played around with a couple of other concepts, but my brain kept going back to the idea of trying to do a werewolf outfit, so that's what I went with. I used a pair of cat ears and some furry items and otherwise tried to go with a ripped-up, punk-y kind of look. I'm not sure if I really pulled it off, but it was fun to try, at least!

22. Cosplay time!

YES. Always my favorite prompt. Mahou Tsukai no Yome was still airing at the time, so I decided to pull out my old Chise cosplay for this one.

23. Build an outfit around your favorite bag.

Of course it's the bunny bag! I went with the albino one, since that's the one I usually use. Now, I knew I wanted to use the bunny ears to match the bag, but wasn't sure whether I wanted to put together a babydoll outfit or a lively one. So...I decided to combine the two! The end result is somewhat odd, but I think it looks pretty cute. I probably should've gone with red shoes instead of pink ones, though.

24. Blazers are perfect for a school day.
A pretty simple prompt. I started by picking a blazer that I really like, but that I don't think I've ever actually used, and built the outfit around it. I got to use my favorite, go-to preppy skirt, and a new pair of shoes that I really like. This outfit will probably be making a return at some point, as I really like it.

25. An outfit inspired by your favorite musician/band.

I don't really have a favorite band or musician, so I figured that meant I could just go with whoever I wanted :P so I picked Kanon Wakeshima. I decided to try and replicate her outfit from Killy Killy Joker...or as well as the game would let me, anyway. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the end result (though it did turn out better than I thought it would) but it was a fun experiment either way. Also, I wanted to point out that I used the bunny ears because I'm pretty sure that's what her hair ribbon is supposed to look like, but rather than bunnies, it just reminds me of Edea Lee.

26. Pretty Pastels

I'm sure you've noticed already that I'm a fan of pastels, so unsurprisingly, I was really looking forward to doing this one. I just had to use this lovely layered skirt from April Bonbon, so I used that as the base for the outfit. I also got to use my favorite tights, some adorable shoes from Marble Lily, and one of the flower hairclips, which you guys know I love. You've probably also noticed that I like using pastels in my make-up as well, so that part was fun too!

27. Dress up as a Nintendo character.

Look, you say 'Nintendo', I hear 'Pokemon'. I wanted to go with a character that I hadn't cosplayed before, but wasn't having much luck. So here's the return of my old Dawn cosplay, now with more accurate hat and socks! Though Dawn's socks are still weird...

28. Showcase your favorite Designer item.

I don't really have a favorite, but I still hadn't taken any pictures in my cat-themed set, so I went with that. Just another excuse to wear cat ears, haha.

29. Copy an outfit from your favorite Styling Star character.

So by now you've probably picked up on the fact that I'm not good at picking favorites. Sure enough, I don't really have a favorite character in Styling Star. However, I DO have a favorite out of our three main girls, so that's who I went with. I'm talking about Alina, of course! I figured I would use one of the outfits I gave her for her performances. Initially I wanted to go with the one I gave her for Maria, but then I realized that I didn't have the socks, so I decided to go with one of her lively outfits instead. I couldn't decide between her Twinkle Fantasia outfit and her Dosukoi Koi Koi one, though, so I just did both.

Cosplaying Alina in the outfit I gave her for her debut, which you may have already seen.
And here's the outfit I gave her for her final performance! I copied the hair and nails, too.

30. Wear your favorite outfit of all time!

As I'm sure you've guessed by now, I don't have a single favorite outfit. I do, however, have several favorites, one of which I included in a previous challenge. This time I decided to go with my classic Rose Princess outfit, which you may recognize from my Shopdo. You may also recognize it from my Fashion Forward posts, I cant actually remember at the moment if I've ever posted any pictures in it. Well, if not, then I have now! Also, yes, this is why I spent so much time searching for the rose hairclip.

And that's the end! This challenge was a lot of fun, even if it took forever to get it finished and posted. I'll definitely be continuing to do more challenges, and I'll be putting out my own in a few days, so look forward to that! I know I am :)
